Fostex Fr2-LE vs Tascam 60-D

Any thoughts? I currently have a Fr2-le, but the 60-d sure does look good for the price. Would it be a downgrade, upgrade or lateral?

Is there anything you need to do that you cannot do with the Dostex, that the DR-60 would allow you to do?

Do you have the need to mount your camera to your recorder?

Tascam makes some really good recorders, but the quality of sound recording might really be a lateral move at best. That's a guess, though, not having tested a DR-60 myself. If the pre-amps arethe same as the DR-40/DR-100mkII, the Fostex wins.

Nope, just wasn't sure. I'm not an audio expert by any means. So I'm reaching out. Your reply pretty much sums up what I was already thinking.
