forum suggestion

I liked the specific Panny focus. I feel the new forum organisation is actually paying attention to the other cams too much. I don't like the extra step to see what is going on with the HVX.

I agree. But it's not too much of an inconvenience.
 
I've been on this forum for a long time, every time im signing in, is some kind of going to my friends. A funny experience
 
but it is an inconvenience. it would be like gmail.com putting a link to make you have to click to log in to your e-mail. this is dvxuser.com....not allcamerausers.com. have the forums for the other cameras, but the primary one is the dvx/hvx and put them the easiest accessible.

What do you mean this isn't a panny forum? Anyone else make a DVX? What part of DVXuser did the moderators not understand?

May as well turn it into cinematogrpahy.com
 
thanks for putting them back on the main forum page! still would of been a great website if not, but just a little touch makes it better!
 
The board is much better today than ever. Jarred and the rest of the team are to be commended. If it stayed true to the DVX namesake we would not be talking about the HVX, Varicam, 500 series etc.

It would have been like closing your eyes and ears to the changes that are happening in the industry every day. As far as the users are concerned, most everyone that I recognize here and have met at various events has become more sophisticated and better at what the they do in all capacities. it is called maturing.

The cool thing is that most of us now accept that the cameras are tools and that we make the vision come to life. A good DP can make great images with any of the leading stuff out there today. Barry Green, earlier made the point that the Canon HV20 is an amazing little camera for the money. I agree, and this board is the perfect place to talk about it. So opening up really will be a good thing.
