formatting my first P2 card....Nervous

is it normal to get a bit nervous the first time? I backed up the fooatge onto two hard drives and even made a SD version on DV tape. I think the HDD's got everything...the camera was set to "Verify". I have no way of checking though because I dont have a NLE installed yet on my computer.

Anyways...just thought Id share a little anxiety

Yes, it's normal (and I'd say reasonable)... good to be nervous and extra cautious in the P2 workflow....

Here's a quick verification you can do, even without a way to view the files --

Go into the Video folder on both the card and your hard drive -- make sure all the same files exist, and that their file sizes match.

If they do, the overwhelming likelihood is that you have nothing to worry about.
