Format SDHC card after each use ?

I learned from my 7D and compact flash card that I needed to format the card after each use. Just deleting the files didn't properly purge the card. So my questions is with my Ex1 I just picked up, do I need to format my SDHC cards after each use? On a job I just did, I did this and it worked fine. What is your system? Is it bad for the card ?

I keep camera settings data file on each card just in case of trouble so can only use 'delete all clips' or this will be erased. Never had a problem in over 2 years.

With a Sony SxS card, I do what Bruce does. Keep the camera data by doing a Delete Clips. However SDHC cards are a different animal altogether. Had trouble when only deleting clips and read numerous articles saying it's best to re-Format the cards before each use...which is what I do.

Good to know. Didn't know that feature was for SxS cards too. Looks like each type requires a different method.
