Format Error!

We just shot two interviews in Pittsburgh and then drove to Philadelphia to shoot more. When I tried to download the Card onto my MacBook it told me it can't do it because it can't read a certain file.
So it stopped downloading.
When I look at the clips in the camera they all work and look fine.
But then I noticed something else.
When I turn the camera on and it starts reading the card (32GB) there is a red flashing text that says format err.
I need that footage!
What can I do?
I don't have FCP on this laptop, I just use it for downloading.
I also tried to download it directly from the camera to the hard drive in host mode, but it also told me there is a format error.
Help!!!!

Hi,

Not sure what to say but contact me via private message and I will give you my shipping address. I don't know if there is anything you can do, but I would like to give the engineers out back a challenge. Haven't heard of this before, so not really sure what the problem might be. Did you format the card in the camera prior to recording or did you just move the footage off, thereby clearing the card?

See you on the PM side,

Jan

The strangest thing happened: after freaking out and making my client nervous I rented 2 more P2 cards. Than I came back to the hotel and tried the download in USB device mode. No erroressage. Half of the data downloaded so far...

Okay, all is downloaded now.
I don't understand what happened.
I still get the "format err" message when I turn on the camera.
I'm very reliefed though and trying to look more into it.

Did you find a solution? I have 3 cards that I shot on yesterday and all three of them are giving me this error. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also interested in the results of this thread. What series cards are these?
