Formal film out test in NYC from HVX

My production company SLM Production Group along with help from the fantastic folks at Postworks New York will be conducting a formal film out test of footage from the HVX.

We have prepared 2 minutes worth of clips ranging from music vid material, to outdoor shots, makeup tests and over/undercrank tests. We tried to test a lot of edge conditions (contrast, highlights etc). It is set up to test items that are specific to our upcoming project "American Standard", but will likely be of interest to anyone wanting to see how 720p footage stands up to 35mm blowup.

The screening will likely be sometime in the week of the march 20th - the exact date is yet to be set based on availability at Postworks.

Along with our production team we will have approx 10 seats available for people interested in seeing the footage. Please keep in mind that this is entirely for our specific project to there wont be question/answer session in the theater as we will be working with the Postworks folks during the session. However, after the screening we would be happy to move to another place and answer any questions about how the test was conducted.

If you are interested please PM me to get a seat at the viewing - it is first come, first serve and I apologize to those who cannot attend due to the limited number of seats. We will post a report here when it is complete.

sounds great. I'm interested in how you will decide on the scene file settings before output.
 
its already filmed so we already decided - there is a couple of clips with different settings but we made primary choices on the production monitor - hopefully, this test will validate those choices

We're having a DVXUser meeting on the 12th (see below) don't know if you saw it. We'd love to have you join us, and I'm sure you could fill those seats with folks from the meeting if you needed to.

That footage looks great...can't wait to see the filmout! I love the bathroom stuff (the red wall really pops!)...

In the kitchen when he pours the water, was that done at three
different gamma settings?
