Hello everyone –
I’ve begun the journey of producing and directing my first narrative short and plan on documenting the progress both here and through the Facebook fan page. I do mostly commercial work and training videos for businesses, and typically run the entire production myself, so even though this is low budget, just having a crew will be different for me.
Forever Home is a short Comedy with 5 characters. I’m estimating around 5 minutes in length when finished. It’s based on a script I found over on moviepoet.com and was immediately drawn to it. I hope that I can do it justice.
Logline: A young woman makes a tough choice about her new best friend.
Much of the preproduction is underway.
I’ve finalized my equipment list and will be shooting with the AF100 and a series of Canon Primes. I typically shoot with the Sony EX1, but the AF100 is intriguing and I’m curious to see how well it does.
We’ve cast our lead male who is from Chicago and trained at Second City, I think he’s going to be great. The other four roles are all female and we’re holding a casting call for those roles next week.
Crew is pretty much set other than a DP. I'm in talks with a couple of different people, and hope I can get one of them secured soon.
If all goes well, we’ll being shooting in late October.
Artwork should be up soon.
Thanks for reading.
