Ford street Ka (fake commercial)

E?

E?

have i been out of the loop? whats a dvx100e?

what happened to a & b heh?

seriously though...E?

Now it works.

ARe you sure that's just the DVX100e and no adapters? How'd you get that ultra micro look on the master/wide shot?

I'm sure "E" refers to the camera being european (PAL). Thats also why you probably haven't seen this car before, it's only manufactured in Europe. Good video by the way, excellent colors.

I'm thinking maybe the DOF in this one was done in post. Just kinda looks like it. especially on the overpass shot about 10 seconds in. That's a pretty sharp falloff from blurred to sharp. Course I'm wrong many times every single day. maybe this time too.

We talk about HVX, HD, and even RED, but sometimes we forget how the DVX is a truly incredible camera. It was certainly a revolution on it's own.

And Mcgregor, great work, as usual!

hey macgregor, i just have to ask, what post production plug in's did you use to create the vignetting with fade to black dissolves, i am looking for that same effect for something im working on but im not sure which company does the best one.

Its not by any chance a 'Digital Film Tools' plug in is it?

By the way, i was very impressed with the video, looked fantastic, very inspiring, AdvanTech is right in wondering if your a top gear fan!

Loved it

Great piece. I especially liked the contrasting colors in the shot where the camera "looks" up at the front of the car starting at 36 seconds. The blue on the licence place was just off of symmetrical enough to really get attention.

Out of curiosity, were any of those shots stills?

Great work. You gotta love the DVX with Vegas.

Dang that was nice! All standard DVX? Amazing. I really liked the vignetting, gave it a very film-like look. Well done mate, very well done. After all of the time and effort (not to mention money) I've put into a 35mm adapter I sometimes wish I hadn't. The DVX can look great on its own, you just have to know how to use it.

just a quick question, after i watched this for the second time, i was really starting to like the music track, please could you tell me who the artist is and the name of the song to the advert?

still loving the images, i shall look into vegas abit more, although it is abit of a pain considering i have just bought Avid X Pro

many thanks

I have to agree with ovjamaica. This looks awesome and it also makes me rethink the time that I've put into figuring out a 35mm adapter. There's always cool things you can do in post for a shallow DOF type effect. And the DVX by itself can look awesome. Besides, trying to shoot everything with the limitations and size of a 35mm adapter is starting to seem less and less appealing.
