For slow motion Twixtor or Apple Shake ?

Thanks Blaine, I know and the price is much better now for what you got.

Joey, have fun and Isn't it insane all those huge tutorial.

OK, Twixtor isn't a stand-alone program like Shake is (or it wasn't back when I bought it). It is a plugin. You are comparing a plug-in to a pro-level compositing program. If you like Twixtor, AfterEffects 7 Pro utilizes the same technology now (pixel-shifting to create tween frames). AE7 doesn't have as many settings to tweak out like Twixtor does, but the technology is there. I haven't used Shake in a long time (since version 2.5, yikes), but I don't think Shake has pixel-shifting technology to create tween frames. I think you are limited to blending frames only. I could be wrong though.

If all you are concerned with is slowing down footage, you'd be crazy to buy Shake at $3000 instead of Twixtor at $500.

MrPolarBare,

Sorry, but Shake is now available for 499 $, so do you think it is that crazy for the price.

I am a HVX user, so I rarely come over here the DVX section. I just found out yesterday about the Shake price drop (what planet was I on to miss this!!!). So, naturally the first thing I wanted to do is come back over here to the DVX side and fix my comment.

I'm still in shock that Shake is only $499. I would now say to ANYONE, buy Shake.

As far as slow-mo goes, luckily Shake and Twixtor are offered as demos. Try them out. Pretty simple there.

I am buying my first Mac Monday, because of the Shake price drop. I'm still in shock over the whole thing. It was like a holiday when I found out.

I just sold my Shake 6 DVD bundle, its a very good way to start learning shake.

Shake doesn't come with Twixtor or a program that has its capabilities unless you feel like tracking/morphing between frames yourself.
