Less than a year old. Bought from Samy's Camera Pro & Broadcast Video Department in LA. It comes with a 3 year warranty from JVC, but I also bought the 5-year Pro Warranty from Samy's (which is pretty much accident coverage, the salesman told me there was a guy shooting surfing and a wave nailed him and his camera, and it was covered for a replacement). No rendering needed, no transcoding needed... Works great with FCP. Handy dandy little camera... just go on B&H and read the reviews. Comes with 4 16gb cards, 4 batteries, and the fully transferable Pro Warranty. Includes all the stuff that came with it (shotgun mic, cables, remote, etc.). Less than 150 hours on hour meter. This camera is tiny, and that was the reason I bought it. Really really unobtrusive, great for doc. Since the handle comes off, it's even smaller, and looks like a Handicam. Looking for $2200.

I know that you sprung for the extra 5 yr warranty....but your asking for 3g's and the camera can be bought brand new from B&H for 2,795. Everyone is switching to DSLR's brother! I've been shooting most of my videos on the 7D and 5D. HOWEVER I am in fact also in the minority of people in realizing the power and benefit of the HM100. Full range of shooting modes, sizes, and speeds....two XLR channels....two sdhc slots...compatable with class 10 cards.... the camera is no joke. Basically, this camera is identical to the Panasonic HMC150, the only real large difference is the HM100's 1/4 sensor vs the HMC150's 1/3.

It so happens that I MAY be in the market for a HM100 for use on a documentary. (DSLR's are a pain for long shooting due to the 12 min clip max, external audio recording and then synching, and a tendency to overheat during long use). Your camera is small, used, and is not "in-trend" right now, what can you do for me on price?

It's great for doc shooting. I've done a lot of doc stuff with it (shooting for people that have had several features at Sundance). I've also shot most of a feature film on this camera. I'm a pro, and I take good care of my equipment. Also, it's NOT gray market--and my warranty is fully transferrable. I just went to the B&H website, and plugged all this stuff in. I'm including a screen grab, but it comes out to 3964.58... without shipping and tax.

Additionally, I've shot with the Panny HMC150--it's enormous compared to this camera... and the transcoding is a pain in the rear, not to mention file sizes that are 8 times the original.

This is back up for sale. In the last year, this camera has made me back its cost 3 times over. New price = $2200. Oh, and I'll throw in my old over the shoulder camera bag. Big enough for this with the mic attached.
