I am looking to upgrade to the newest FCP package so I am selling my copy. The Production Suite includes: Final Cut Pro HD (including Soundtrack), DVD Studio Pro 3, and Motion.

This is the educational version, which includes everything that the non-educational version has but does not allow you to sell your work.

I think I paid $499 for it, I am asking $300 (plus shipping) for the entire suite.

PM if you are interested. Thanks!

what stops someone from selling their work?

There is a clause in the lisencing agreement:

"If you sell work created using this software, you will have a legally binding obligation to take your own life by falling on your own sword."

That is why you should always read the small print.

It has the exact same stuff as the non-educational version but they don't do anything to monitor whether or not you are selling it...

You will be on Apple's honor system :)

Also the educational version is sometimes crippled as far as upgrading. I dont think you can upgrade this to 5... have to buy the full version.

ash =o)

Thanks. I hadn't heard that but I wouldn't be surprised. The educational discount for the full version (an educational copy, but not just an upgrade) is about about the same price as the upgrade for non-educational software.

However, it is a great deal for a budle of FCP HD, DVDSP, and Motion even if you can't upgrade later on...
