I am selling one of my 100 A's as I upgrade to a B model.

Comes with all original accesories charger, remote, manual. And I am including a couple of 3100ma batteries, These were the original DVXuser batteries. They are a bit old so no guarantees. I am testing them right now and they still seem to hold pretty well. Also I am throwing in a hoya 77mm polarizer with a 72-77 adapter, it cannot be used at the same time as the lens shade, but it works. The camera has 166 hrs and has always lived in a pelican case and used by professional cameramen. I have never used it as a deck and it has been a flawless camera, recently had the heads cleaned and glass upfront is perfect.

Asking $2500-will pay shipping fedex ground within U.S.

$2000-$1900 ? A little low guys.

Heh. At least you're selling a 100A... I'm trying to sell a DVX100 original and I've got about 50 people that want to buy it for $1400 (or less) and that includes case & batteries. Sheesh... For that price, I'll keep it and let the kids play with it. I think part of the problem is that we're marketing to a very small audience. Even though this is THE DVX resource and there's tons of people here, most of them already own one.

Anyway, good luck on selling it. I'm about to give up on mine... Nobody seems to want the pre-A model except for a bunch of wanna-be's that can't offer me more than the loose change in their pockets.

I don't know if this helps with your pricing/expectations, but I sold my DVX100A here last week with with 76 hours on the heads for $2,100 ($2,150 with shipping included).

I'm not sure you'll do much better than that on ebay.

I'll keep it before I put it on ebay or will fire sale it here down the road once I know for sure I won't need it ever again. For now, I wait and hopefully other people selling their DVX's hold out for their prices too. A lot of buyers are hoping that we're dumping our DVX's to upgrade to an HVX and they think they might score huge deal... Can't say I blame them for trying.

Fact is, the market is changing, and changing quick. All of the prosumer HD cams are coming to market now, which is causing two things to happen: (1) current DVX owners are selling their cams to upgrade (increasing supply) and (2) newcomers are real tempted to just go straight to HD instead (lowering sources of demand). It's further complicated because if you really want a DVX, there are real incentives to get at least an A, but with the B coming in brand new at $3,200 after rebate from reputable sources like B&H, the price gap between a used A and a new B will widen. This isn't just a new vs. used thing anymore, it's new B vs. used A and/or SD vs. HD. The dynamics of this are just starting to bear themselves out, and I think these price points are just now starting to reflect that.

Anyway, that's just one man's opinion, but someone who is in this exact situation right now (I own a GS400 and am looking to upgrade, but not sure to what yet). I really want a DVX100A or B, but the widescreen thing is holding me back. I've been shooting true widescreen for a year on my GS400 (it's NOT scaled people), and honestly, I can't imagine going back, and I don't want to deal with an anamorphic lens, and considing my GS400 doesn't scale the image, I'm just so disappointed that the B doesn't have 16:9 chips in it. It's causing me to almost go the XL2 route, but then again, I really want the gamma and 24p and smaller form factor of the DVX. Tough call for someone like me right now, not even mentioning the temptation to go with a Sony HDV in the same price range. I think this is only going to get worse going forward...

Not trying to insult anyone with my apparent low-ball offers. The thing is, technology is changing fast, and this isn't an appreciating asset. If you think my offer is too low, wait a month or two and you'll wish you would've sold it. And with "reputable" grey market dealers offering a new DVX at around $2800 new, I'd rather pay that than $2500 for a used one with no warranty and no recourse. There are a few reputable grey market guys out there, not just the shady Brooklyn outfits. Also blame the HVX-200, as once Panasonic begins meeting their demand, I think you'll see a lot more DVX's competing for sales on this board. JMTC.

Can you share who the good guys are that sale DVX 100B online? Links to their websites. I don't care too much if it's an authorized dealer. I just want to make sure they are on the up & up. I did a transaction on Ebay once that was pretty horrific. Needless, to say I'm scared of online shopping.

Panasonic's website isn't really user friendly so I haven't had an easy time finding a dealer in my vicinity. I called Panasonic and asked for some numbers to local dealers and they gave me two disconnected numbers. It's been hard but I am determined to get this camera.

I even tried WOLF (Ritz) camera but it is a $1000 more than the $2800 you mentioned, not including shipping. I figure if I am going to spend $4000 on a camera I might as well go for the XL2.

Is the Pelican case included, or are you keeping that for your 100b?
