1) Barely used DVX100a NTSC with 43hours with orig. box and accessories. No Scathes or wear.
2) Panasonic Anamorphic Lense & bag(with Barry's focus stickers/book). Again, no scratches or wear.
3) 3 Panasonic batteries (2) 5 hour (1) 2 hr
4) UV filter for 72mm lense.

All of this new cost me over 4,100.

Hmm...if you can get a DVX for 1700.00 that is pure and true, then go for that deal instead. This camera is not grey market and regardless of the prices out there, I still want to get most of my investment back because of the newness of the equipment. Any offer above 3500.00 USD is what I am looking to get. I am a professional videographer and I take extreme care of all of my equipment...probably better care than those greymarket resellers out there.

The camera new was 3300.00
The lense was 700.00
The batteries were 200.00

If I can sell the camera first, I will sell the lense separate. One guy already emailed me about wanting to purchase only the lense, so that might work.

I was refering to his post about finding it for $1700. THAT is the grey market camera, not yours.

I am thinking about posting this package on eBay on or around Nov.5th 04....however I will probably raise the price a couple hundred. If I post it there I will let you all know so this thread can stop. Well mountain kid, I am selling it because of one single reason: I need 20x Optical zoom. I need a lense that will lend itself to the outdoors. I was on my front porch last weekend, and a sweet little green hummingbird was in my front yard, so I grabbed the camera and started shooting. I just couldn't zoom in far enough...and so a rare opportunity was lost. I only shoot 16:9 now so a telephoto lense is out. I was warned about this before the XL2 came out. It's a struggle because I love the portability of this camera and the quality reeks of beauty. For an indy shooter, this thing would work killer. For me, I shoot mostly nature, and I will be shooting indy features as well down the road. If I had the cash, I would keep this little jewel and buy and XL2 to compliment the 20x zoom I need. Believe me, I wish I could stay with the dvx, but the XL2 has the lense I need. I actually don't like the size of the XL2, but I will adjust. I wonder if they have underwater enclosures for those?

Argh XL2 lens is more powerful. And damn you for making my decision even more difficult. I've been going back and forth, and mostly for price point reasons have I decided to go with DVX. But tell me, because I've only used the DVX-100, how do the extra features on the 100A stand up? Specifically the new cine-gamma options, the B&W viewfinder option w/peaking control, and the extra shutter speeds and syncro scan in 24p mode? The XL2 is tempting for all of its engineering controls and the lenses - although I would buy the body only and then the 16x manual lens. I hate the XL auto lenses.
