Dulce Systems PRO-RX (PRX1616-16) RAID ARRAY RAID: 0, 1, 3, 5, and Double Redundant RAID 6
Do you need amazingly fast storage for your post production work? Don’t want to pay the $12-20K for a new system?
Get this one for a fraction of the cost! The original MSRP of this unit was $ 13,659. This unit was just pulled it out of a working environment (very well-known graphic/3D company). This is a 16 Terabytes array (16x 1TB). Drives are made by Hitachi (DeskStar). Below are the specs from various sources as well as a youtube review.
Dulce Systems super fast rackmount RAID Storage – PRO RX. The answer to low cost, high performance, protected bulk storage for the creative and content creation professionals.
Dulce Systems expands their high performance RAID protected product line with the introduction of the PRO RX 16 bay rackmount RAID storage solution.
Adding on to the existing field proven high performance RAID engine, the PRO RX implements the latest PCI-express Extender technology to provide super fast, low cost, redundant storage with upwards of 16TB capacity in a 3u 19” rackmount space.
The PRO RX implements a power efficient, low heat, super fast Host Bus Extender (HBE) interface running at 20Gb/s (8 PCI-express lanes) to extend the computer’s PCI-express bus to the PRO RX enclosure. An available 8 lane PCI-express slot is required, the typical power and heat strains are removed from the host computer keeping it running cooler.
The field proven high performance RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 3, 5 and 6 connects to upward of 16 SATA II 3Gb/s 7200RPM disk modules. An impressive set of data rates breaks all records, in the performance RAID 0 stripe mode the PRO RX measures 800MB+/sec, in the drive redundant RAID 5 mode the PRO RX measures 750MB+/sec, even with the double disk redundant RAID 6 mode the PRO RX delivers over 700MB/sec.
The PRO RX is Mac and PC compatible. Certified to work with Apple’s Final Cut Studio, Adobe’s Premiere Pro and other popular editor and creation applications. The PRO RX’s impressive data rate allows for multiple streams of video resolutions; DV, HDV, DVCPRO HD, ProRes HQ, uncompressed SD/HD as well as 2k film.
Feature rich enclosure monitoring and RAID management console to monitor and configure the RAID with any web browser, plus Ethernet connectivity, e-mail event notification, remote host controlled power on/off, removable fans and optional hot swappable power supplies.
The PRO RX comes pre-loaded with 16 drive models in a 16 bay 3u rackmount enclosure. 3 and 7 meters extender cables are optional.
The PRO RX is compatible with the PRO EX PCI-express Expander. If additional storage is required the PRO RX can be expanded using the PRO EX PCI-express Expander, providing a total of 112 TB per PRO EX. If even more storage is required, multiple PRO EX’s can be daisy chained for virtually unlimited online storage.
The PRO RX is share ready using the up coming PRO Share high speed networking product.

This is a cost effective solution. Don't miss out of this great deal. Dulce Systems is rated very high along with Avid , etc. Works with various software (final cut ,etc). This is for the Dulce raid array and the cable for it. No interface card is included. I'll let it go for $950.
Transaction Details: As-is, where is, no warranty implied or offered. Shipping not included. This is a heavy system, I rather you pick it up as shipping cost is going to be very expensive.(and you can test it yourself. ) Count on $200-300+ for CONUS. I would hate to see this thing get beat up in shipping. Buyer is responsible for shipping charges. All funds must clear before shipping. We prefer payment via Paypal.
