Hi all
Selling my viewfinder, it is an extremely rare "Accuscene" finder which was developed at the same time as the Panavision F900/Genesis and was built to be much better than the Sony unit.
It is basically a 720p DLP projector inside a fairly large housing - think of it like the RED viewfinder, only better. It was actually developed by the same company, who then got bought out by RED.
You can find pictures of the unit online, I am away at the moment but can post pictures of mine. Very good condition. Comes with a metal case.
When I bought this item, it was the only one for sale in the world, and I believe it is so again. This is an incredibly rare piece of tech!
The only issue is the unit has suffered a little bit of sun damage, so there are a couple of purple streaks in the finder. This is annoying, but seems to have settled. For this reason, I am going to offer the unit for the bargain price of
£1,500 or best offer
Free shipping to any fellow F35'er. VAT must be added to UK sales.
These units were £12,000 or $24,000 new (that was the exchange rate at the time) and this unit has a very long cable (£900 on its own!), bracket, custom flight case, heated eyepiece (not tested) and will just plug directly into the F35 viewfinder port - no external power needed.
Anyone interested, let me know!
