I was going to rent one of these for a week-long shoot and decided to buy and sell in case I wanted to keep it. I don't actually own a 170, and won't be renting one anymore as I'm now going with Canon DSLRs. So don't need it so much.
It was used only two times--at the end of an interview and filming some streetside footage. So it is in perfect, mint condition, including the bag it was wrapped in and the box.
It's a great wide angle for when you need it. I'm pretty particular about glass, so if you're familiar with any kind of glass adapter you'll realize that the image won't be as sharp as without it, but there's nothing you can do about that.
I love going wide and then overcranking to get some beautiful slo-mo of action.
