Hey guys - those that are shooting on the HVX200a and editing on Vegas Pro when you shoot 720p / 24pn and you start editing your footage what do you find is the best setting in Vegas for editing? I have been using the HDV 720-24p (1280x720 23,976) but when talking to someone they said that HDV isn't the way I should be going but there isn't any other options for the 720p/24pn.

Perhaps not....I shoot a 200a and pair of GH13's, do most of my day-to-day edits in NewTek Speed Ed, which is not exactly a popular platform... SE lest me set up custom size and framerate projects, I assume Vegas does likewise? I usually work 1080, I set my X resolution to 1920 hd then super-sample to help smooth out the pixel shifting. It seems to work a little better than the HDV presets....

That preset is fine. The label doesn't matter. Resolution is correct, frame rate is correct for 24pN, pixel aspect ratio should be 1.

A lot of people have been programmed to think that anything that says HDV is wrong, bad and evil. In this case, it's just the label of the preset.
