Footy for News segment on TV: What do I need to watch out for?

Hey Peeps!

I have been asked by a friend to shoot some footy. One use of the footy is for the local news station to do a short segment. This is a VERY VERY short look at what the interview portion will look like. (So far)

What should I watch out for? This just shows the lighting, color correction, quality, denoising, etc....I'm shooting on Friday, so I'd need your awesome input asap! Thanks for your perspective!

Mad love to DVXUsers everywhere!

what NLE ? If it's Vegas you really have to watch that your output on computer is super flat and desaturated. When it goes from 0-255 on a computer display down to 16-239 on blu-ray and network tv, it blows up footage that is perfect for online work. In Vegas they call it Computer to Studio RGB, but I personally think it's a much bigger difference than that, especially if your piece gets viewed on a cheaper HD TV. Those things crush and over saturate something that looks so flat on a computer display it's crazy.

I have two completely different edits between online and blu-ray/network tv to get both to look correct.

Anyway, keep an eye on that so your end result doesn't get blown out.

Cheers,
Pete
