So across the Atlantic Ocean in a small island by the name of United Kingdom is a short film that is entering it's pre-production phase.

The film itself is about a young, disabled, African boy who dreams of being a footballer (Soccer player). Given his disabled anomaly, he becomes a victim of prejudice and in the end, he becomes what he ought to be.

I am writing, producing and directing this gig and the current budget is 2000GBP

A little detail about this blog:

I am a digital artist by trade (3D Modeller and a Rigger) and a environmental photographer by hobby. About a year ago, I got into screenwriting and more or less studied the making of films theoretically.

Ultimately, I would like to direct my screenplays but long story short, few months ago I met a journalist\screenwriter who has connections with several of producers. I told him about a screenplay I am working on and I insisted that I want to direct it.

You can imagine the reaction of someone with that sort of connection when you tell them you want to direct something and you haven’t directed a live action before.

Anyways, he liked the idea but was very sceptical about me directing. So, few weeks ago, I decided it is time to direct my own work.

For the past two days I have been quite busy.

- I got a good deal with air soft/replica arm providers in London (I think I'll take on that deal)

- Finished the script (Finally!!!!!) 4th draft. I had to rewrite from 2nd draft.

- Managed to get few storyboard shots finalized.

- Contacted few location peeps and the local police to inform them of a use of a replica weapons in public. Waiting to hear from them.

It's 6:41 am here, been awake for almost 20 hours. Later today, I'll be checking out more locations.

I managed to get a Sony EX3, Letus Extreme, few set of Nikon Lenses, a steadicam Pilot, a sound kit for 500 GBP ($800) for 2 days.

I'm hoping the police co-operate with us. fingers crossed

We are scheduled for 8th and 9th May. woohoo!!!
 
Today I went out to check potential locations. Me like!!!

I grabbed still photographs and turned it into motion video as a test to see how the location could look like once filmed.

These are aimed for establishing shots

Here's the progress image from start to end. I removed the background couples, the van.
