football clip almost done

hey guys and gals,
advice needed: this is my football-clip. it is basically done but needs a few colourjobs. and i miss sound in the middle and can´t decide if i should stick to pure soundeffects or if i should use a song.
what do you think?
and is the passplay too long like this (there will be a 30 second version, but for the directors cut i liked stretching it).

Hi there,

very nice quality.

I think some high pace music mix in smartly could be cool.

Maybe have a nice action song happening, and then like silence, all you hear is the swoosh of the football flying in the air with the big pass, and then when he catches it, wham!!! the music beat is back!

Just a thought?

Excellent work; very professional. I love it. Has an NFL FILMS Vibe going. Music is indeed key and I like Derrick SA's suggestion of silence as the bomb is thrown; maybe just the sound of wind and a slow motion aerial flight?

Get some metal in it lad...looks fantastic...I know what it's like to drop shots but here I feel you could make it better, tighten it up a-little and you'll have a solid project for your reel.

That was pretty cool. I do think that you could tighten it up a bit. And music would make it SOO much better. How did you get the sound for the impacts?

the tackle-sounds were a mix of excerpts from "any given sunday" and what we had recorded on set.

hehe, well i don´t know so much hard stuff. need to dig a bit deeper in my CD collection i guess.....

so you mean no "running noise"!? hmmm..need to try that. i somehow dig his "effort to reach the ball sound".....
