Hi all.
I am trying to refine a specific look for video, almost a cartoon, cell shaded look. I have a DVX100a, but the process to get the look seems to work much better with HD footage.
If someone here could oblige me with a 5-10 second clip of something very simple, I would really appreciate it. A nice medium shot would work, or even a tighter one.
Ideally a couple of different shots would be most helpful, say a medium, and then something closer, or a full, and then a medium. Subject matter really is not important, it could be something like an indoor shot of someone eating a sandwich. I would just prefer to have someone doing something in the shot to establish motion blur.
Lastly, I have been working with 24p @ 1/48 shutter speeds, and recently began experimenting with 1/24 shutter, which seems to work better. I then do a posterize time and put it into a 21, or 18 fps, to help lose the feel of video even further. so 24p @ 1/24 would be best.
The footage does not have to be super high quality, a Quicktime file with the Sorenson 3 codec would work. I don't have Quicktime 7, as it causes issues with After Effects, so h.264 I can't see, unforturneatly.
Nothing fancy, just some footage with someone in it doing anything.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Matt
