footage problem - checkboard problem - not from offloading

Just recently started messing with my new HVX200. I've been following Barry's offloading instructions for my mac. But, I've run into the checkerboard problem even before offloading. When I review the footage in camera, I'm getting the checkerboard about every 4 seconds. I tried to reformat the card several times, but it just doesn't seem to help.

Also, I've noticed that the problem seems only occur in the first 8 clips or so...

Any advice or redirects to how to solve this problem would be much appreciated...

Try to figure out what piece of hardware is malfunctioning. Try out a different P2 card, one you know works, like from a friend or rental house. Then try your P2 card in a different camera. This should tell you what isn't working right.
