Footage from India trip

I recently spent two weeks in India. Came back with 11 hours of footage. I got really depressed about logging and organizing over 1,000 clips, so I decided to take a break and throw something together. An hour later, this is what I'd come up with. It's pretty rough, but I thought I'd post it anyway. Enjoy.

The .wmv version - 5.8mb
The h.264 version - 17mb

2min 10sec

I am by no means an expert, bu the footage looked good, but it seem that you had some camera shake... I am guilty of it as well....

I liked the speed up footage through the city..

The music was from the first trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The music was put by itself on an interactive map which can be found here.

x-angel: Yes, a lot of it is rather shaky. This is in part because it is shot handheld, and most of the footage in there is from the beginning of the trip before I really got good at shooting handheld. Some of the shakiness is also emphasized because of the many speed changes.

nice video

hey where did you find the mp3 for the music? I see the film's site but where cani actually find the music from?

I tried to rip it from the .swf file, but that wasn't working, so I just told the computer to record whatever the sound card was putting out. Lame way to do it, and it introduced noise, but it worked.

lol, brilliant... good work.

I was just going to comment about the music (ah, narnia. I knew it sounded soundtrackish) until the clip hit around 1:15 or so and ok... that was neat when the music changes and the clips get all exciting and stuff. However/But...

But maybe a different cut with more... er... travel related rather than war related music... might be more successful? For me anyway.

I think the music kind of sort of beat up all the video by being so powerful.

India huh. Neat!
