Here is some footage I shot today on soundstage 1C here at Full Sail. It was my first time every shooting with my DVX and the first time shooting with my Ed35. Im pretty damn happy with both. I forgot to kill sound during some of the cuts, but the sound I laied over it seemed to work pretty well.

well I can say without bias that this is some of the best footage I have seen on DVXuser :)

seriosuly though, its good to see some footage up- and I liked your lighting and setwork, and the smoke- helped to set the mood.

Yup, the fog machine made the entire scene! The shafts of light were made by taping black wrap under the newspaper on the window and leaving some space between the sheets, the light flooded in just right. I was really happy with the effect.

Unless i'm mistaken, can you share a picture of the ED35?

I actually don't have a still camera or I would. Im pretty sure edwierdo has a few, but i will ask my roommate if i can snap a few with his camera when he gets home.


If any one is curious about the set up it was a 5k studio out side the large window, a 575 mole beam thru the small window and an uncorrected Kinoflo boomed from above the scene. The 3 different color temps worked out in our favor, but usually balanced light would be the best in this situation. You can tell how blue the HMI is compared to the studio, which was balanced according to the color temp meter... but it turned out alright this time.

Also, dvxuser EdSiu was in the group for this lab project, we are going to shoot the "Exteriors" tomorrow some time.
