Footage audio won't play on my computer

Hopefully someone may have encountered this problem. When I run the raw footage on my new computer, the audio does not work. It does work on the camera though and I checked the computer settings the audio is turned on and in fact I played an YouTube clip. Please advise what can be the reason..
 
Pete,
If you're using Windows Media Player, that's probably the reason you hear no sound. Try the VLC Media Player. It's free.

I'm assuming you recorded it uncompressed. For whatever reason, Windows Media Player does not like AF100 footage when the audio is recorded uncompressed. Nearly gave me a heart attack the first time my first paid gig with the camera :)

Yeah, Thank goodness it was not a paid job, but I can understand how it would have felt:cry: I did not know there is an option in the camera to record compressed/uncompressed. Can you please share how to do that?
