focus ring not working

I was cleaning the front of my dvx100b yesterday and i unscrewed the first two parts by the lense, the thin metal piece that is attached by two small screws and the focus ring that is held on with 4 screws.

Now my zoom ring doesn't do anything in servo or manual mode. im not sure if i am missing a step when putting it back together or what i did wrong.

ideas?
