Focus ring is hard to turn

The focus ring on my 100E is a bit unusually hard to turn around these days. I haven't abused the camera anything lately or anything like that, the only change done to it was adding the (very light!) indiesnap mattebox. Is it possible that some screws are suddenly too tight? Could it be dirt inside the ring? There are no unusual sounds when I turn it around.

Any help?:)
