HPX250: Focus Problems while zooming at far away objects.

While focussing on objects at longer ranges - 25 metres to infinity, I'm finding the image sometimes, but not always, goes quite out of focus as I'm zooming. Manual focus is on, auto/manual set to manual, focus assist off of course. This happens zooming in and out. It happens using the servo and or with the zoom stick. Sometimes it appears to be in and out of focus frame to frame. It happens with faster and medium speed zooms, but not all the time. It's also happening to another friend's HPX 250. He went so far as to have the lens replaced but the problem continues.
Here's a link to the worst example lately:

password: zoom

It's a fast manual zoom, and the effect is particularily bad, but the same thing happens when it's a medium speed servo zoom (although much less). I did a pretty fast compression and then vimeo's compression muddied the image a bit more, but you can clearly see the pulsing focus.

Any ideas? Others with the same problem?

So hard to tell what is really going on. If you rack focus first with red turned on, then zoom in fast do the focus numbers change from what they were in the begining when you racked focus to the end of the zoom? If so my guess is the same issue I have (I havent had it fixed yet as I have been busy, plus it only acts up when I use the camera for about 1 hour) here is the thread. So you need to do some tests first to see what is really going on. Same settings and write it down each time you change any variable till you can see a pattern. You need to document exactly what it is doing so it can be corrected.
