Focus Lock!

I know you heard this focus lock story before i went back and read but mine is doing this and i was wondering how much it cost to get it fixed or if anyone here did. Im having the same problem the focus will not catch and i can hear it slide back and forth in there im actually getting good at focusing that way.(and its not the normal noise but i do hear that too.

any help would be appreciated.

Hi MIKO, sorry i do not have the answer for your focus lock problem, in fact I also have the same problem, and as i see nobody came back with an answer to your question, I wonder DID you ever get your focus lock issue corrected? where? How much? How long it took?

Hello Miko and George,

There are two possibilities. There could be something wrong with your focus sensor on the lens assembly (which is the cheaper fix) or it could require an entire lens replacement (which is more expensive but isn't a show stopper).

I'm not in the office to see how much this has cost others in the past, but I can tell you how long. We have everything we need for either repair (if it's what I'm thinking it is,) we need to leave room for surprises. It should take no longer than a week to turn it around.
