Focus from numbers to feet

Does anyone know if you can change the focus from numbers to feet and if so please give me the steps to do it. Please let me know thank you very much!

I don't think you can change the display, but depending on what you're doing, you might not actually need to.
The number is an absolute value of the position of the focus mech, so if you're pulling focus to a certain point, just make a note of that number, as you would with a distance scale.

You could, by trial and error work out the focus distance for each number, and plot this on a line graph.
To prefocus on a certain point, you would just look at the chart, find the distance you want to focus on, and read off the number to set the camera to.


The MF system on the DVX100 is not as good as a "real lens", where you physically move the lens itself, but it's a hell of a lot better than the MF system on the DVC15, which I used before the DVX100.
