Focus controller for the HPX500/Canon 15x

I have an HPX500 with a Canon J15 8xB4 IRS. Canon made a focus controller for it, the FFC-200 (here's one on Ebay). How would this compare to a typical follow focus? What follow focus/rail systems would you recommend if this doesn't cut it?

That item is meant for use when the camera is mounted on a tripod. Most typically in a studio situation. You would usually see two arms on the tripod. One mounted with a similar zoom control and the other arm with the focus control you linked to in your post.

Thanks Jim, but what I'm asking is if this controller will perform similar to a
rails mounted follow focus.

the module might be made to work but the cable which goes into it is much bigger and longer so it can be run to the large controller on a tripod handle. A bit unwieldy. A typical follow focus for film style works a little differently than the focus block for a rear focus set up
