Focus controller for AF100 w/Oly 14-35

If things go well I'll have an AF100 soon. I plan on possibly getting the Olympus 14-35 for it and I'm wondering if the Varizoom PZFI will be able to control the iris/focus on this lens.

And Abelcine has a run and gun kit which includes this so I assume it will work. Can anyone confirm? The abelcine package is here:

I don't have that lens, so I can't say for sure, but most-proabably, yes. That's not very helpful, but I think you will find this interesting reading about how external focus controls behave with this type of lens.

I have an earlier version of that focus/iris controller with a zoom rocker. Generally, focus will work only on lenses that autofocus on the AF100... so focus may work with the 14-35.

The iris is a problem. There is some incompatibility with the rheostat used to control the iris, and the result is that it the controller will not allow the aperture to open fully... the 25/1.4 only opens to 1.8, 14-140 only opens to 4.2, and so forth.

I have the varizoom which I use with the 14-35 and the 35-100. Works just fine with both focus and iris adjustment. I can't stand to use the 35-100 without it.

So the Varizoom definitely will open both these lenses to 2.0? Thought I'd read that it had the same problem with them as the Manfrotto - which I have and can also confirm that it does not open either of these lenses fully.
