Focus assist while recording?

Looking to buy a GH2 as 3rd cam to HMC150/AF101, not familiar with DSLR shooting so need to confirm - is it possible to use focus assist/magnification while recording video?
once I'm recording video does the GH2 restrict use of any important controls?
I'll be shooting with manual FD lenses that I use for the AF101

Magnification/focus assist can only be done before you press the record button. Once recording, you can no longer use that feature :) aLSO ISO can only be adjusted before you press the button.

i use to set fn3 to EX-MODE to help me to chek focus, but ain't a fast process... i try to set fn3 to digital zoom, but i can't ... is there any more option?

hi again
i answer myself... solved ¡¡¡

(1- menu/custom/shot w/o lens on)
2 - (and more important) click/push the wheel, do not rotate it... or viceversa ¿?

i found some info more detailed, here ... in my case, if a rotate the wheel the shutter speed changes (or whatever is colored yellow in the display)... but if a i push the wheel, then i get magnification (and more accurated than the ex-mode i previously use... really)

hoping to help
regards

Hi There

The ISO cannot be adjusted after recording has started because the buttons no longer work, but Auto ISO will still work yes?

Thanks

hi berni
insteresting question... i want to know it too
option a, w/ auto iso... the cam set the iso before to recording, and recording keeps the same iso during all the shot
option b, w/ auto iso... the cam changes the iso during the shot to keep a good exposure

ps. i think we can check this fixin all (iris & speed), setting auto iso and moving from a lighted place to a dark place during the same shot...
