focus and zooming

[Guest]

Sorry my strange question but...is this possible to zoom and focus simutaneously with DVX100. I was really amazed with XL1, when realized that couldn't do this. At first I thought that XL1 I used was crappy one, but then read that it's common with servo lenses. But how DVX100 lens works?

Sure you can!
I think it sounds really weird if you can't with the XL1. Are you really sure about this?

Re: focus and zooming

Yes, shure. It is XL1 with "original" 16x lens. Maybe because there are both servos - focus and zoom...DVX100 has "mechanical" zoom like in bigger cameras.
