I am planning on shooting a couple short movies this summer using the HVX and I am wondering if anyone in the Seattle area has a Steadicam flyer for rent or one that I can try out and see if its worth the purchase.

Best? It's the undisputed heavyweight champion, but if you have never used a stabilizer you would do well to spend your money on a workshop . . . then buy one and start practicing for the shorts you are going to shoot Summer '07.
