fluorescent phasing

My dvx100a seems to phase its white balance from orange to blue when under fluorescent lights, even when white balance is supposedly "set." I've only noticed it recently and it's slow - much more obvious when you're scanning throught the footage. Anyone else ever seen this? Does the fluorescent scene file take care of this? Is it busted?

Fluorescent lights can do that. It doesn't happen often, but with older magnetic ballasts it sometimes does. You can try shooting at different shutter rates to see if that helps, perhaps 1/24 or 1/30 will take care of it.
