Flip Out LCD broken?

So we've had our 500 for only a couple weeks and now our flip out lcd monitor isn't working. Is there a switch to turn this on or off somewhere in a submenu? I couldn't find anything anywhere and it was a real pain on our last shoot. Am i missing something or did it just go bad? I'd hate to have to send it back after we just got it.

Its been absolutely beautiful otherwise...

On the left side of the camera near the WB toggle there is another toggle switch labeled "Save" ... flip and your problem should be solved. It's there so you can turn the LCD on and off without having to close it.
 
Oh thank christ...i looked in every sub menu and at every switch, i love that turning the SAVE switch to OFF turns the monitor on, brilliant thinking
