Why so cheap you ask? It's been a terrific selling product so far, but I've still got a carton or two sitting in my closet and I'd very much like that closet space back for, you know, clothes and stuff. Now is your chance to buy your very own, brand spanking new, Flip DVD for less than $5!
Still not quite sure that your hard-earned 5 spot will be worth it? Read for yourself all the glowing praise that fellow DVXusers have given it!

Just a quick update: The $4.99 Summer Sale is now over. The only still-valid code is " studentdiscount1", which is the code for Film Students (and if you're interested in the Flip DVD, that's good enough validation for me). That code reducees the price of the DVD to $9.99 plus S&H. Thanks for the support everybody. This thing has sold far beyond what I had originally set as my goal!
Presently, I've sold well over 200 copies. It's still going strong! I'm amazed at the longevity of this DVD. I think the reason that it's still selling is due to the extra features on the disc. People tell me that they lend it to their friends and then their friends tend to keep the disc, so the original owner has to convince them to buy their own. Also, interestingly, I was approached by a Professor of Film and Video Productions at Western Kentucky University who is incorporating the DVD and it's features into his classwork! Thanks for asking LynchMob.
Yeah, there's some hidden stuff there to be sure. Keep looking though, there's more!
Just a quick update: Flip was recently reviewed by MoviesOnline and they gave us an 8 out of 10, which is pretty good! If you were on the fence about buying a DVD, read their review here and it will convince you
All Hallows Entrants who actually made it far enough to show a movie in the fest will be receiving their copy of Flip in the mail within a few days (perhaps longer for those outside the USA... <Cough>Mikko<Cough>.
Please feel free to comment on the DVD in this thread once you get around to watching it. I hope you enjoy it. Also to all DVXusers who have purchased a copy within the last week, Thank You! I really appreciate all the support I have received from this community!
The film itself didn't really work for me. Technically almost all of the shots were out of focus, and the story was kind of strange... I never really was able to hold onto any of the characters or identify with them. What happened at the end?
Thanks for the candid comments. The movie's ending can be interpreted as ambiguous, which is beneficial for these types of projects because it can let the viewer draw their own conclusions. I was at a festival Q&A for this movie and an older lady in the audience asked me if Jennifer (the girl in the movie) jumped out of the window at the end! I told her, I don't think she was quite that distraught, but anything is possible. The lesson I learned with this is that if you leave things open to interpretation, the audience will create scenarios that you'd never even dream of (for better or worse).
