Flickering projection screen after MTS to MP4 file conversion

Hi All.

I shot a conference and in the frame I have the presenter and the screen behind him which has the presentation projected.
In the camera, it looks good. When I play the MTS file on my Mac using VLC, it plays good.
When I convert it to MP4 using Turbo.264 HD, the files come out where the projected screen flickers.
Anyone with an idea on how to solve this?
Anyone has an idea on how to convert with another SW for Mac that will solve the problem?

Camera: HMC-154
Editing: Mac, Final Cut

Thanks,

Can't help with Turbo.264 HD, but I can tell you that I use Log and Transfer in FCP and when transcoding I use Prores 422 or Prores LT. After I'm done cutting, I use Compressor to output to whatever I need. Works well.

Can anyone please recommend a good convertor from MTS to mov format so I can use it on my Mac?

Thanks.

Does clipwrapper work for this? Don't have a mac, but I think we did this with a friends mac. On the other hand, shouldn't FCP be able to use log and transfer for AVCHD now?

Upgrade to Premier Pro CS5 on a Windows 7 64 machine.

You'll appreciate the magnitude of performance improvement.

Why are you using turbo264? Why not use compressor from your timeline? You can do H264 directly from there.

Ok guys. sorry for my mistake. I was using Final Cut Express.

With regards to the Turbo264 HD, I found a work around as I am using the export to YouTube HD but without putting my YouTube account there so although it gives me an error that there wasn't a connection to the server, it still saves it in a good MP4 file on my destination disk and it works great without flickering.

Thank you all for your support an help here.
