Flickering issue with vegas 9 64bit and new i7 machine

all right ,thanks again!I have a feeling its some type of setting that win7 has or a missing codec that vegas needs for 64bit processing of avchd mts file, but i cant put my finger on it.Here is a question, anyone tried using vista 64 bit and vegas 64 bit with mts avchd files,did it work out ok, if it does than it has to be soewthing with win 7.

Ok, my testing results:

On Win7 both the 32bit and 64bit versions exhibit the flickering problem.

On WinXP64, Vegas 8.0b could not open the file. Vegas 8.0c did not exhibit the problem. Vegas 8.1 did not exhibit the problem. Vegas 9.0a did not exhibit the problem. Vegas 9.0c 64bit exhibited the problem.

So it looks like the problem is NOT tied to the OS, but it tied to Vegas + the OS.

64bit Win7 = Problem
64bit WinXP + 64bit Vegas 9 = problem.

Nothing else was an issue for me.

yes sir, i installed the file agentorange provided 9b and worked without an issue, confirming what your saying perroneford..i wounder what would 9c have that 9b does not that could cause this issue, either way i thank all of you guys esp oerrineford and agentorange for the help, i guess i will have to stick it out with 9b 64 for now, unitll a newer version 64 bit becomes stabile with win7 and avchd mts files.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this problem. I too have downgraded to 9.0b and all seems good for now... Issue doesn't seem to appear in this version. I guess we''ll have to waiit for 9.0d to see if Sony fixes the problem. thanks again

Same problem here.
Intel I5+Win 7 64bit+Vegas Pro 9.0c build 896 --> flicker

It happens that Vegas is the only editor among the ones I tested that plays MTS files from GH1 smoothly (in other machines). Other editors don't seem "fast enough".

I am trying to find version 9.0b for testing now...

Thanks
