Hi, i wanted ask a question about shooting flat with a D5100. A friend of mine gave it to test on my steadicam merlin and i wanted to know what could i do to set a flat profile to have a good CC in post. Totally newbie with this camera hat seems to have a great quality of image; isn't it?
Thx in advance

For starters, a good idea is setting it on Neutral, with minimum contrast and sharpness, and saturation midway between zero and minimum

Flaat would work too, but it's not ideal for the D7000 and I guess the D5100 is the same, so ^

Thank you Samuel for helping me out!
I went to shoot with my friend his beautiful location and i tryed the d5100. i Uploaded the raw images without CC or grading, I find a lot of grain and i was using 2 z96 leds with artificial light. I used the 8-105 kit lens

suggestions?

That looks like Flaat_12, maybe 11 if the D5100 is half of the problem. If that's so, this can happen at any ISO.
You have to add some contrast to those images, bringing down the shadows in post: enough that the noise is not so easy to spot, but not so much that you crush the detail. The idea of shooting flat is that you get to decide these things in post, but you still have to take the decision. The D5100 seems to be forcing you to push down quite a lot now. If you want to avoid that, you can run some denoiser software (like MB Denoiser II or NeatVideo).
