Fixing Red..

I know the dvx has a hard time with reds but at one point I read a posting on here that explained a way to fix the way the reds look (or at least clean it up a bit). What filter in fcp can help? If you know a thread that explains what my problem is that would help too.. I didn't bookmark the one I had found earlier this year

Go into FCP > Effects > Video Filters > Key > Color smoothing (apply both of them). That's how I got the best results.

I ended up adding a different color correction to the entire project, so when I did the last shot (the one with the pixelated red) It helped a lot. I desaturated it by half and also changed the mids highlights and lows.

It doesn't solve the issue completely, in fact that's one of the reasons I got rid of my DVX. But it does fix it a bit.
