fixed pattern noise / lens flare issue

The image is too small and the video is too big for me to download right now, but I think I know what it is. It looks like a GRID pattern right?

If it's the grid, it's been an issue on the F5 and F55. You can go into Resolve and interpolate the footage differently and it fixes it. Do a Google search (something like): Sony F5 fixed pattern; and they give instructions on how to fix it in Resolve. It's a very long thread.

Also, it's weird because sometimes I'll see it in one program like Resolve, but then after transcoding it's gone in Premiere or After Effects.

Yes it's the grid pattern. If I scale it down to HD it looks less noticeable and if I compress via h.264 it's even less noticeable. It looks the worst in resolve by far. Thanks for the info. I'll look into it.

I actually had this same issue once with Canon 5D II or III Magic Lantern RAW DNGs. Someone said they thought it was a debayering issue I believe.

it's also an issue with Blackmagic Cameras called FPN (fixed pattern noise) The more you tweak your image the stronger it will come through

Is this since the new FW update? Cos I never had this issue before and I've seen it on a few shots over the last week...

It's not firmware as I had it several firmware ago. It's weirded though, because I usually notice it when reviewing footage, but by the time it makes it to After Effects for final coloring after several different interpolations, it's gone. I do know you can fix it in Resolve right off the bat though. In one of those threads they tell you how.
