Fix blue cast in post??????

I'm working on my first documentary and I'm new to lighting. I used omni lights to film a subject in a room in which sun was coming through a window. I white balanced on a sheet of paper at the location where the subject was sitting. Even though I white balanced, the picture in the lcd looked very blue. I didn't know how to solve the problem so I just shot the scene. When I imported into imovie, the blue cast is there although not as intense as the camera lcd. How much can the footage be fixed in finalcut? Is it a huge amount of work for the editor? In the future, is it best to use blue gels on the tungsten lights?

best,
jerry

In the future, yes, I'd recommend using CTB gels on your tungsten lights to try to match the sunlight. For now, try to use the color corrector in Final Cut to shift your picture slightly toward red/orange to counteract the blue cast.
