Five months later - I received my tapes and battery!

I'd pretty much lost hope that I'd ever see the battery and tapes promised to me as part of my DVX100a rebate.
After all, I'd sent in my rebate form last October, and my check was delivered just before Christmas.
Five months is a long time.

While I was very happy to see the check within two months - five months to fulfill the entirety of the rebate is highly disappointing. I don't know if the promise of the battery and tapes would have changed my decision to purchase the DVX (as the $500 rebate WAS the reason I went DVX over the XL2)... however, it does make me question the reliability of future Panasonic rebates.

I love, love, love the camera. But I hope that, in the future, Panasonic is more transparent as to how long their rebate promises will be fulfilled.

congrats! I wish they had that kind of rebate when I ordered.. but its nice to see that panasonic fulfills their rebate even though it may take centuries..to process.

Me too! Just received my tapes after purchasing it in Nov. I received my check in Dec. but had to call them several times to inquire about the tapes/battery. At least we received it but it shouldn't be this difficult.
