Five Guys Burgers and Fries

It's proven that most salads, with dressing are just as many if not more calories than other foods. A low calorie salad is either with fat-free dressing or without any dressing. :)

A salad with just a bit of a good oil and vinegar absolutely does not have as many calories as one of those burgers. Hey if you like em though, go for it. My car club sponsored a "ride" to one recently and I found the burger to be a bit wet and somewhat greasy. Just my opinion though. I am sure once in awhile, they are fine. My preference is a nice Bison Burger. A friend's dad went to his cardiologist and the Dr. told him to back off on the red meat. When the dad mentioned Bison meat, the Dr. told him to eat as much as he wanted. Bison has LOTS less fat and cooked properly tastes every bit as good as beef. The only thing however, is when cooking, they have much less fat so you can't cook em as long as regular beef or they will dry out...Just my 2 cents. Everybody's taste is different I guess.

But going in wasn't a problem??

I was hoping you would not respond to that.

I did South Beach once. Lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. It was torture, though.

It was rough for the first time too. I lost 60 pounds in 2 months. kept it off for 2 years. Then after a year of five guys, cheese cake factory, Fogo De Chao, Morton's and A whole lot of Vodka I gained most of it back.

This time it's not that hard. I lost 4 pounds this week and started an insane work out schedule. Being fat sucks and I just can't take it anymore. None of my skinny dude clothes fit any more and I aint buying 42 waist after being a 36. I just can't do it.

The fries at Five Guys are awesome but if you don't eat beef you are SOL unless you want a grilled cheese. They need a chicken option.

Oh man...These are some TASTY burgers. The neighborhood store opened about 2 weeks ago and I've already been like 4 times. As others mentioned it's different from In N Out so it's not a one to one competition, but I gotta give the edge to Five Guys solely for the variety of condiments. In N Out is a lot cheaper, though. I'll have to make some extra trips to the gym to support this new habit, but it'll be worth it.

There are 5 locations here in SD. I have never heard of them until this thread.

But I just priced out a combo and it came to $11.39

TWELVE poo pooING DOLLARS for a burger and fries and Coke ?!
