Fisheye

New to forum today. This may have been answered, so sorry in advance...and thanks in advance for replies. The HMC40 is my first camera. I've saved for a couple of years from my first job (part time). For the most part I document skateboarding, so I do like the fisheye. I guess I have two questions: (1) I get a 'fishbowl' effect with the fisheye and have been told to select 'steady cam'. Where do I find that switch? (2) Is there an adaptor that I can purchase to use a wider lens? The 44mm century seems to be a little tight. I know its a small camera, but I would love to get a bigger lens.
I really know nothing about cameras and production. Like I said, this is my first and I'm on my way to learn. Thanks for any help!

On VIMEO, search under HMC40 videos, I've seen some skateboard videos using wide angle adapters. You might want to check that out too.

As for the OIS, you want to turn that OFF when using any wide angle adapter. The reason is simple, it tries to correct fro the standard view, BUT with the wider view, it will over correct.
