Fisheye Adapter for HPX170?

Hi there. So I am selling my DVX, and about to upgrade to a 170. I have a DVX Century Optics fisheye adapter that mounts to the bayonet mount on the DVX. Will this work on the 170? I want to know before I list my DVX, so I can either include the adapter or not. Thanks in advance!

are you sure you need it? hpx170 has a very nice wide viewing angle, never had any problems without any adapter!

Its nice, but not fisheye.

I'm in the exact same situation. Loved the Century. Now it's the best paperweight ever.

I got a Cheap wide angle lens on ebay that (as I found out) comes in two parts, the WA part and a Macro that screw together. If I put the WA on the lens and focused in Macro mode, it works very well as a fisheye- almost as clear as my century. I'll see if I can find the link on ebay. If I'd have known, I'd saved myself ~$300.

Well the only reason I would keep it is because it was so damn expensive. I almost never shoot any skateboarding anymore, and there have been very few other instances where I have used it to shoot something non-sports-related. In that case, I will be able to get a little more for my DVX package. Thanks guys!

The dvx fisheye will not fit the hpx. Even if it did it would look pretty awful. Century makes a smaller fisheye that fits the 170/150 bayonet mount. It's not nearly as wide as a fisheye Xtreme but it works. Hope that helps.

My buddy brought one of these over (0VS-FEWA-DVX) and it fits my HMC150.. but does not lock into position. To bad really as it is the exact same optics as the (0HD-FEAD-AG) HMC/HPX model and sells for the same price.

test.

I've got a century .6 adapter for the DVX. I'll try it out on an HMC150 and see if it fits. If it does, I suspect it'll perform stellar. Century is awesomeness as far as I'm concerned. The only way to know for certain though is to test.

my friend just dropped around $2500-3300 on a century xtreme for his hpx170

its by far the best fisheye for the hpx. period
haah

Actually, that lens is an HD lens. Says so on the side. Also I discovered if you remove the tiny screw near the yellow mark that lmits how tight you can tighten the lens onto the camera it will work on an HMC/HPX.
