first wedding demo

that bad huh? ;+) i suppose it could be just plain and boring but i was hoping for at least some critique.

Not bad. Some cool shots in there. Looks like you had a lot of fun!

I think this is one of those videos where the bride and groom love it a whole lot more than guys like us. Sentimental value.

Kinda long for everyone but the couple. It was a bit shaky and a few shots were blown out, maybe a polarizer would have helped. If it were me and my wife I would like it because it was so personal. I felt like 3 is a crowd when they were kissing and hanging out like I was the pervert at the next table staring? :)

So you're that perv who likes to stare! You :furious3:

they did seem kinda happy. it is rare to find a couple that is this spontaneous and relaxed on camera, maybe they were just a little sef conscious but overall I thought they were great to work with.

so there i was, on Maui, with my DVX, and the couple, and the sunset, and the beach and 2 batteries. Went for the second battery, dead as a doornail. It was a $75 Impact brand Li-ion replacement and it must have discharged itself for being a dud. Luckily there was a Ritz nearby and they had a http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=338249&tabtype=rv

which is a Sakar International Digital Concepts AC/DC Universal Charger for Panasonic Li-ion batteries, the one shown is actually for Canon, but it is identical looking. So it was five minutes of shooting and then running back to the charge to replace batteries. Yes, lots of fun but the last time i will ever buy a non Panasonic battery.

Is this a demo? This is what you actually give to your bride and groom? Cause, if I saw this, I would like, give up and not watch the whole thing, or skip a lot. You have to put your best shots, the most important moments. You must show your client what they want to see, not everything you have. My demos are usually like 5 minutes long, if that. It's usually the length of one song. I have a couple, and that is what is good, cause they will see a variety. Just my 2 cents.
