So this is my first time ever even touching an HVX200 and I'm testing it out. My field workflow is to shoot to cards, rotate them and dump to the drive, etc. That being said I can't seem to get the footage off the HDD itself onto my MacBook Pro. I'm running Leopard (10.5.2) and installed the drivers for the PCS060G. When I connect it I can read clips that are on an inserted P2 card but not what's on the HDD itself. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, my plan is to edit in Media Composer (most likely, FCP is the fallback) and it will be a 24 frame sequence. If I want to shoot variable frame rates would I select 720p/24pN or regular 720p/24p? 'N' plays back the footage at the proper 24fps viewing speed in the camera's MCR, just want to make sure I'm doing this right
